My View on Health Care

The battle in Washington for true Health Care Reform is mind boggling. There are too many different factions sparring, dickering or however one would want to put it. We have lobbyists sent in by the big insurance companies to try to derail any meaningful plan for this ailing nation's health.
The insurance industry is spending an average of $1.4 billion a day, grabbing any Senator's and Congressman's ears to stop health care reform.

Another problem is the lies that people are saying about the Canadian health care, along with a few of the European nations that have Universal Health. It's a shame these people can come on radio and television and say for example; that if we had a true Universal Health Care, that there would be to much government interference. That's nonsense, and they know it.

One other point I would like to make, is that the big drug manufacturing companies are against most, if not all reform. And their the ones that should be ashamed of themselves for charging exorbitant prices on prescription medicine. It's truly sad that when elderly citizens of our country, go to the pharmacy, and get gouged when paying for their prescriptions. There is no need of it.

The lawmakers in Washington, that we pay to represent us, get free health care, not only while they serve, but also when they either decide not run for reelection or voted out office, get to have free health care for the rest of their lives.

Something has to be done, and done now, or else the health care as we have now, will only get worse.
